Peter Millar may be best known for sponsoring a number of high-profile professional golfers, including Sam Burns, Cameron Young and Justin Rose. But now the Raleigh, N.C.-based brand has moved beyond the links to the gridiron, signing its first NFL ambassador: Christian McCaffrey, the running back for the San Francisco 49ers.
Off the field, McCaffrey has increasingly embraced the sport of golf as both a passion and a discipline, Peter Millar said, making him the ideal fit as the brand seeks to expand its reach.

Christian’s dedication to his profession and his personal style make him an ideal addition to our family.”
The athlete will be the face of the company’s new Pursuit collection of technical apparel and gear that releases on Aug. 20.

Last August, McCaffrey left Nike, his longtime sponsor, to join While on Earth, a performance apparel and footwear brand, as cofounder and investor.
