To know me is to know that I have a soft spot for nostalgic, no-bake desserts — the kind that show up at potlucks and holiday tables and somehow disappear faster than anything else on the table. This cherry fluff is exactly that kind of dessert: light, creamy, and wonderfully old-fashioned in the best way. It comes together easily with crowd-pleasing ingredients that feel both playful and familiar — sweet cherries folded into airy marshmallow whipped cream, juicy pineapple for brightness, and toasted coconut for just the right bit of texture.

I love that it’s the kind of recipe you can make ahead and forget about until you’re ready to serve — and, honestly, it’s even better once it has had the time to chill and set. This magical dessert is easy enough for a last-minute treat, but special enough to bring to a gathering (it will be one of the first bowls to empty!).

“This dessert is quick, simple, and super delicious! With pineapple, coconut, and cherries, it has great texture and all the tropical components for a perfect summer treat.” —Shelley, April 2026

I grew up in a big family, and desserts like cherry fluff always made an appearance at birthdays, holidays, and summer gatherings. Somehow I always remember a version of this being present whenever my tia Amelia would host baby showers. Sometimes with different ingredients depending on who was making it, but always just as comforting and nostalgic. As a professional baker, I love creating delightfully light and refreshing desserts that never skimp on flavor, while still giving a thoughtful nod to the old-school recipes so many of us grew up with.
