There are a few appliances that have earned a coveted permanent spot on my counter. A blender is not one of them — well, at least until recently when I switched to the Beast Go Cordless Blender.
Roughly the size of a standard bottle of olive oil, this personal blender is small enough that I can easily keep it on my counter. Plus, it blends so seamlessly (and quietly) that I actually find myself reaching for it over my trusty full-sized blender. Oh, and did I mention it’s less than $100 right now?
What You Should Know About the Beast Go Cordless Blender
Started in 2021 by the founder of Nutribullet, Beast offers a range of personal blenders — all of which would look like a sculpture sitting on your counter — as well as hydration bottles, and accessories for both. The brand’s newest blender is the Go Cordless.
The Go Cordless blender comes with a base (that’s where the blade is), as well as a 670-milliliter blending cup, drinking lid, cleaning brushes, and two straws. It also includes a 640-milliliter blending cup as a complementary gift. Plus, you can choose from seven different colors, like creamy beige and blue-gray (though five are currently sold out).
It’s $97, which, compared to other portable blenders, is slightly more expensive. I have tried at least five different blenders in the last three years, and this one easily has one of the most efficient blades I’ve ever seen. That alone makes the blender worth it for me.
My Honest Review of the Beast Go Cordless Blender
To me, the ultimate test of a blender’s effectiveness is how well it can shred ice. I have seen blenders fail miserably at this, leaving behind big chunks or even a full ice cube or two. I’d never tried any of Beast’s blenders before, so I started easy: I made smoothies using frozen mixed berries (with blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries).
Admittedly, the berries are an easier test because they’re smaller than the ice cubes in my freezer. Still, in less than 30 seconds, the Go Cordless effortlessly blended them together. From there, I decided it was time to graduate to ice.
I made a vanilla latte frappe, letting the blender go for the full 30 seconds. By the end, I was left with a perfectly frothy frappe without a chunk of ice in sight. I was actually so shocked by how well it blends ice — even better than my go-to blender.
I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is compared to other blenders I’ve tried. I could have actually had a conversation with my fiancé in the kitchen while it was running.
The interface is also super seamless. There is one button that you use for everything. It powers the blender on, and then you can press it in bursts for the pulse function or you can hold it down for one second and the blender will run by itself for 30 seconds.
I’ll be honest, it’s not often that I’m truly impressed by a blender. The Go Cordless is easily the best personal blender I’ve ever used. Plus, it’s cordless, so I can take it on the go with me all summer long. Frappe summer, anyone?
