Prada is tapping into China’s fandom culture by naming Transform Project, also known as T.O.P., a five-person boy band, its latest brand ambassadors.
“At the forefront of youth culture, Transform Project embodies individuality, forward-thinking creativity, and authenticity,” Prada said in a statement.
Prada worked with the group during the spring 2026 men’s and fall 2026 women’s runway shows in Milan.
The members of the band also visited Prada’s Valvigna industrial headquarters in Tuscany.
“These exchanges have helped establish a strong and ongoing rapport between the two parties,” noted Prada’s statement.
Transform Project, composed of five members — Zhu Zhixin, Zhang Zeyu, Zhang Ji, Zuo Hang and Su Xinhao — officially debuted as a group in August 2024.
The group counts around 5.7 million followers on Instagram, Douyin, Xiaohongshu and Weibo combined.
An average of 18 years old, the fresh-faced boy band is managed by Times Fengjun, a Beijing-based entertainment agency known for hitmakers such as TFboys and Teens in Times.
The agency’s trainee-to-idol development system allows fans to follow and actively support artists from the trainee stage through their debut, which creates a strong sense of participation, driving high fan loyalty.
The group entered the mainstream in June 2024 through the debut documentary series “TransForm Day” and their debut single, “Waiting for Your Answer.” Since their debut, TransfOrm Project has continued to release original music, including “Løve Is Dangerous!” and “Emergency,” while making frequent appearances on major stages and high-profile events in China, such as the awards ceremony of the 37th China Golden Rooster Awards, Dragon Television Spring Festival Gala and Jiangsu Television New Year’s Eve Concert.
The collaboration is the first time Prada has named a Chinese boy band as a face of the brand.
Prada also praised Transform Project’s exploration of different fashion styles that unveil their individuality.
