Lazoschmidl Men’s Spring 2027 Runway, Fashion Show & Collection Review

It could have been the heatwave-induced desire for lightweight wardrobe solutions and mood-boosting pastel shades like refreshing ice cream flavors, or perhaps the growing acceptance of loungewear silhouettes on the street. Whatever the reason, Lazoschmidl, best known for its cheeky, camp and colorful silhouettes, hit its stride this season with a light-hearted, softer wardrobe that took the brand in a more relaxed direction without neglecting the quirky details it is known for.

Seemingly at ease in their skins, Josef Lazo and Andreas Schmidl continued their exploration of intimacy and identity, of what we choose to show and hide. They likened their breezy collection, designed with lazy days around the house in mind, to an episode of “The Golden Girls” or a slice of cheesecake, perhaps grabbed from the refrigerator mid binge-watch.

Belted robes in blue striped cotton, purple satin or a patchwork of recycled fabrics were paired with pastel pink y-fronts or a lilac tank top with contrast trim that gave it a nostalgic feel. Draw-stringed shorts, pajama pants and lightweight sleeveless shirts and undershirts were worked in muted hues, with animal motifs including a giraffe print done in baby pink or natural brown among the statement pieces. Jeans this season were worn low on the hips, à la Britney Spears circa 2001, all the better to show a peek of the boxer shorts underneath.
