Dua Lipa is the undisputed queen of La Vacanza as lifestyle. Whether she’s celebrating her birthday in Ibiza poolside or in the super clubs, eating out in Athens, Copenhagen, and Rio, honeymooning all around Italy with husband Callum Turner, or raving all night long at her own Sunny Hill festival: Dua Lipa does summer right.
And why should airport baggage restrictions get in the way of a good travel look? The pop star was spotted on her way through New York’s JFK airport sporting a gargantuan Chanel resort 2027 tote: it’s a nautical navy, white, and red striped bag with sturdy, shoulder-circling black leather straps (hardy enough that, if one was to really fill it with all your vacation essentials, you wouldn’t risk cutting off circulation to a limb) and the house’s huge black interlocking C logo.
The bag originally made its debut with Mattieu Blazy’s cruise collection shown in Biarritz back in April, a show that celebrated the house’s seaside legacy. Accessories were injected with summer-infused joy: seashell jewelry, giant straw baskets, zany swim caps.
On the runway, the bag was styled with a breezy linen buttoned tunic and matching shorts with varying multicolored panels, and some black and white striped glove heels. Lipa retained some of the nautical spirit but kept her look more casual and airplane appropriate, wearing a white and black striped funnel neck quarter zip sweater with straight-leg raw hem blue jeans, black heeled boots, and angular black sunglasses.
Dua frontloaded her summermaxxing—Sicilian wedding included—with an easy breezy wardrobe to match: Helsa and Dôen prairie dresses, plus peasant tops paired with bandanas (the celebrity hair accessory of the season), Tom Ford-era Gucci looks, Oresee and Jacquemus bikinis, and of course several Chanel sets. But over the last month or so she’s been getting back to work on her next album (and probably summer 2027’s biggest banger, TBC). That won’t stop her styling out her studio sessions, though.
