Mere minutes after Vogue World: Milano wrapped, Chloe, Nicole, and Vogue Italia’s Francesca Ragazzi gathered in a nearby ristorante to recap the evening’s goings on.
After taking in the Prada and Diesel shows that kicked off Milan Fashion Week, they were off to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II for Vogue World, and its sprawling celebration of Italian design across time. The clothes, the models, the performances—a night honoring the best of Italian fashion and craftsmanship simply had to be over the top.
As Chloe put it, Francesca has effectively been working as the mayor of Milan for the past few years; in order to shut down the Galleria for a night, she had to speak to every stakeholder, every restaurateur, and every shop owner in the historic shopping complex. “It’s all about being curious about their stories. I could write a book,” Francesca added. “Believe me—the secrets and the mysterious things…”
Yet other parts of Vogue World 2026 came together only days before showtime: Francesca described street-casting models for some of the parts in the show. (“We plan too much, Chloe! It was curated chaos, we say.”)
The group then identified their highlights from the show. For Nicole, seeing the designers sitting in the front row was a standout moment. “It was really fun to watch everyone watching their designs in the show,” she said.
Chloe was a big fan of the songs and dancing, in particular the young choristers from La Scala, Alicia Keys, and Roberto Bolle’s performance. And Fran couldn’t help but express her gratitude to the many teams of people who made the event happen: “I’ve never seen such harmony and teamwork.”
