Jimmy Dean Launches New Premium Hot Bacon
Jimmy Dean is spicing things up when it comes to your morning meal. The brand’s new premium hot bacon claims to balance the flavors of salty, savory pork with a spicy, bold kick.
You’ll still get the rich, smoky flavors of a regular slice of bacon, but now with a “hot twist” on the classic. Jimmy Dean says it is perfect to use in any dishes that need a little extra spice — whether that’s a breakfast burrito, Memorial Day burger, or cheesy casserole. Whatever you try this new bacon flavor with, I’m sure it’ll impress — even if it is just paired with your everyday scrambled eggs and toast.
According to the ingredient list on the packaging, the premium hot bacon is cured with “spice extractives” in addition to the standard ingredients the brand uses on other flavors. It’s also gluten-free, and each serving (2 pan-fried slices) delivers 6 grams of protein.
Jimmy Dean’s premium hot bacon is already in select retailers now, including Hy-Vee supermarkets, and the 12-ounce package costs around $6.71. Even though I can’t take too much spice and heat, I’m still dying to try it for myself.
