Aerin, the luxury lifestyle and beauty brand led by Aerin Lauder, has appointed Allie Michler Kopelman its new ambassador for bridal initiatives and partnerships.
Effective Tuesday, Kopelman, who serves as the director of fashion initiatives at Vogue, will act as a spokesperson for the brand, advising on strategic partnerships, market development, trunk shows and online engagement.
The appointment signals Aerin’s next phase of growth in the bridal space.
In an exclusive statement sent to WWD, founder Aerin Lauder said: “I am thrilled to welcome Allie into the world of Aerin. She has been a longtime friend of the brand, and I could not imagine a better ambassador for our growing bridal collection.”
Kopelman, wife of actor Will Kopelman, shared a similar sentiment, adding that she’s excited to work alongside Lauder. “I feel so fortunate to be partnering with Aerin and her amazing namesake brand. I have long admired her taste and unique, timeless vision,” she said.
Lauder is the granddaughter of Estée Lauder, daughter of Ronald Lauder and the niece of the late Leonard Lauder. Her interest in beauty and design fueled the invention of Aerin in 2012, and later, Aerin Beauty. While the skin care, makeup and fragrance subsidiary is licensed by Estée Lauder, Lauder independently owns Aerin LLC.
In March, the brand debuted its Wedding Registry and Gifting platform on aerin.com, designed to help newlyweds curate a home that reflects their shared taste. On top of typical home decor and keepsakes, couples can select items from the Heirloom Collection, an assortment of vintage and made-to-order pieces.
At the time of launch, Lauder recalled registering at Bergdorf Goodman and working with legendary personal shopper Betty Halbreich ahead of her own nuptials. “I did my bridal registry with my mother,” she told WWD, noting that her dress was custom Oscar de la Renta. “What’s interesting is that my taste has remained quite consistent from what it was many years ago. I registered for a beautiful pink floral Asprey set. I still have it and I still use them.”
