Agua by Agua Bendita to Present at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid

Agua by Agua Bendita, the Colombian luxury fashion house, will present its latest collection on the official calendar of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid on Sept. 15.

Founded by Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza in 2018, Agua by Agua Bendita is known for its timeless resortwear, romantic silhouettes, hand-illustrated botanical prints, intricate embroidery, and commitment to craftsmanship.

Selected by the Latin American Fashion Awards following its recognition as Brand of the Year in 2025, the fashion presentation marks a defining milestone in the brand’s international growth, reinforcing its position as one of Latin America’s leading luxury fashion houses.

“Presenting in Madrid is an incredibly meaningful moment for us. Since the beginning, our dream has been to celebrate Colombian craftsmanship on a global stage, and this opportunity allows us to continue that mission alongside the extraordinary artisans whose work inspires everything we create. We are deeply grateful to the Latin American Fashion Awards and honored to represent Colombia during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid,” said Álvarez and Hinestroza, cofounders and creative directors, in a statement.

Presented in partnership with the Latin American Fashion Awards, Agua’s participation underscores the growing influence of Latin American fashion on the global stage and spotlights the brand’s continued commitment to showcasing Colombian creativity internationally.

Agua by Agua Bendita will be the third Colombian designer to open the Madrid runway. In the last two editions two other brands headed by Colombian-born designers, Silvia Tcherassi and Johanna Ortiz, have participated.

“Seeing Agua by Agua Bendita present on the official calendar of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid is a milestone, and reflects our commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for the region’s most exceptional talent to reach new global audiences,” said Silvia Argüello and Constanza Cavalli Etro, founders of the Latin American Fashion Awards.
